The Adventure Begins

Looking back on one’s life in retrospect can be a surreal experience. It amazes me the experiences we have had in a single life and I often wonder if everyone feels the same.

For Rebecca and I, (Philip), we have lived lives filled with miracles and wonder, pain and sorrow, bliss and hell.

We’ve lived the spiritual lives of prophets and gurus which could consume several books by themselves. Experiencing countless miracles including being directly taught by Christ, angels and even God, both independently and together, seeing our pet horse raised from the dead, many experiences with the rain being stopped, a wild fire being extinguished, walking on water, and so, so, so much more.

We’ve experienced tremendous suffering when we lost our $3.5 million fortune, then years later nearly all our possessions, watched the pain and suffering of our severely disabled son who’s birth defect and medical malpractice resulted in brain damage and dissection, blindness, limited mobility, kidney damage and spinal collapse, worked through the years of trauma of resulting from rape and sexual assault while our son was having brain surgery and went blind and Rebecca’s closest friend, her mother, died. And Rebecca breaking over 27 bones in a horse accident, (They stopped counting at 27 since there was no point beyond the fact that she’s broken very badly). And, the ongoing struggle of having to pick who gets their needs met, your handicapped child or your abled children.

We’ve also be incredibly blessed to have had a well-paying career, retired several times, (the first being at 28 years old), and later started a very lucrative business. We’ve written several spiritual and self-help books, a 78-page world changing physics thesis which we hope to soon publish, and countless articles and papers.

We started our own non-profit church through which we have been able to provide service and assistance and share many of the things we have learned firsthand. Our desire to teach, share and serve eventually led us to this next great adventure. It is through our time and financial donations to this organization that we were able to purchase land in Hawaii. Land that could be dedicated for learning, sharing and growing our spiritual community.

Rebecca is a wizard at finding and recognizing amazing opportunities, especially in real estate. For years she has kept her eye on several markets including Hawaii. So, when she saw a hundred acres of undeveloped rainforest on the Big Island of Hawaii for under $600k, we jumped on it. We had no idea what we were getting into, but this was the beginning of our new life and adventures in Hawaii, the land of waterfalls and lava flows.
