Lesson 3 – Requirements for Telepathy

Requirements for Telepathy:

Before we begin, I want to address one of the biggest road blocks people have to telepathy and spiritual experiences in general.

All too often we imagine up some criteria we must meet or requirement outside our control that limits and governs what we are allowed to experience or do. In teaching telepathy and other experiences, I often come across these limiting beliefs people create for themselves. This issues seems to primarily exist within religious groups, but variations are also found outside religious groups. People will say things like, “I’m no body special and you have to be someone special to do things like this.” Or, “There must be a special reason or need to experience that.” Or, “It will happen when God wills it, not according to my will or need.”

I have discovered that the universe is wonderfully responsive to sincere requests for learning and growth. When I find myself curious about something, I simply ask, as if to say, “Universe, will you teach me about this?” I’ve found this approach remarkably effective – not just for spiritual matters, but for understanding scientific truths of all kinds. In most religious scriptures we are taught, “Ask and ye shall receive, seek and ye shall find”, indicating that it is not actually us who are waiting on God, but God who is waiting on us. If you have any concerns in this area, I encourage you to ask, so that you may receive.

This reminds me of a perspective I have often share about Jesus walking on water. Consider that moment – Jesus wasn’t performing this feat to save anyone’s life or solve a crisis. It was not even essential for “saving someone’s eternal soul”. There was no great need or purpose. You might say he was on the shore and wanted to get to the boat. Naturally, you or I would have just swum to the boat like many people do. Maybe he didn’t want to get his clothes wet… So, he decides to walk on the water. However, he justified that miracle is beyond me, unless he justified it because he wanted to and believed it could be done.

But then, he invites Peter who is in the boat to join him walking on water. Again, what was the purpose? What great need was there for Peter to leave the dry safety of the boat and attempt to join Jesus on the water? This tells us that Jesus did not go to the boat as fast as he could, he was enjoying himself and invited Peter to leave the safety of the boat and join him in the fun of walking on the water. When I envision this experience, I imagine it being similar to a child might swim from the shore to the boat where his friends are and invite his friends to join him in the water, accept instead of swimming in the water, he was walking on the water. In my view, this illustrates that spiritual and miraculous experiences don’t need some grand purpose – sometimes they’re simply about wanting the experience or learning how to do it.

I also want to point out that telepathy is an innate and inherent ability we all have as physical and spiritual beings. It’s as natural as learning to walk, speak with our mouths, and perform actions like swimming. It is a skill that can be developed, learned and taught. If you need an excuse to experience telepathy, I suggest that you figure out what Peter’s excuse was for walking on water and use that same excuse to allow yourself to experience telepathy. If you need a great purpose, make learning and experiencing your purpose, or communicating with the lonely who do not have a voice without telepathy.

This is not a theoretical class in which we discuss possibility and potential, wasting time sighting obscure mythical references. It is an experiential class in which you will learn to actually experience telepathy for yourselves. Any references to telepathic experiences will be to illustrate some principle or concept that you are expected to learn, understand and incorporate.

There are a few essesntial requirements:

  • Believe it is possible.
  • Love the person you want to communicate with.
  • Learn and apply the simple lessons outlined the process.
